Maximize Database Performance Using NoSQL Without Abandoning SQL

Live Date: Tuesday October 28, 2014
Time: 1:00 - 2:00PM EST

For application architects, there is a clear tension between their desire to implement a NoSQL architecture to capitalize on faster performance and data flexibility, while still needing the integration and ease-of-development provided by SQL. In fact, these architects and developers should not be forced to choose when they can have both NoSQL performance and concurrent SQL accessibility. Join us in this webinar to learn how FairCom’s high-performance, engineering-level database technology, c-treeACE, delivers the performance required by high throughput applications while providing real-time read/write SQL access to the live NoSQL data.  We’ll look at some application-specific challenges from three different industries, and learn how they have leveraged our No+SQL solution to meet those demands.

Randal Hoff

As FairCom's Vice President of Engineering Services, Randal Hoff oversees the technical support, training and overall product satisfaction of the FairCom customer base. Working directly with an advanced team of skilled engineers, Hoff keeps their focus on providing the best possible technical services for FairCom customers. His technical career, which spans more than 25 years, includes progressively responsible positions at FairCom and General Electric. Hoff holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia. When he's not coding? Hoff enjoys spending time with his family, including watching his daughter compete at state level golf tournaments and his son's college soccer matches.

Evaldo Oliveira

Evaldo is the Director of Business Development for FairCom Corporation, a high-performance database technology company which provides a complete line of data management tools and an engineering-level solution for high-speed data indexing and extraction. Evaldo focuses heavily on the company’s competitive market strategies.

He has more than 18 years of experience in leading strategic sales in the IT industry, with a focus on Software. Evaldo joined FairCom from Fujitsu, where during his tenure had advanced from Project Manager to Fujitsu’s Business Development and Alliances Manager. One of his particular strengths and interest is in the area of niches and vertical markets, which is where he first became interested in the COBOL landscape. He has extensive experience in international business relations, particularly in the UK, Brazilian and Japanese markets.

Although his career has evolved him more towards the business world, Evaldo came up from the technology side of things, which is where his heart remains. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. When he’s not playing around with a new line of code or working on a new strategic opportunity, Evaldo is most likely playing with his family, building new swing sets and playhouses for his kids.
